The CISCO Headset 721 Wireless On-Ear provides a lightweight, single-ear design optimized for Webex calls. It features Bluetooth connectivity, a dedicated Webex button, and 23+ hours of talk time. If you are searching for cisco headset 721 alternatives, you may need different specifications. Some users prefer stereo audio over mono call headsets. Others might require USB-C connectivity instead of the included USB-A adapter. Battery life expectations also vary among professionals.
We selected these alternatives because their core specs overlap with the original product. The list includes wireless options with Bluetooth and microphone features. You will find models with active noise cancelling, longer battery life, or stereo sound. These choices address specific needs like Microsoft Teams certification or lossless audio playback. Each option maintains a focus on call clarity and wireless convenience. This guide helps you compare weight, fit, and connection types. You can find a device that matches your exact workflow requirements.
Comparing Headset Alternatives
Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless ANC Headphones
The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless ANC Headphones differ significantly in form factor. While the CISCO Headset 721 uses a lightweight single-ear on-ear design weighing 4.23 ounces, the Sennheiser model is a full stereo pair weighing 10.3 ounces. You gain superior battery life and advanced active noise cancellation, which the CISCO model lacks. The Sennheiser offers a wider width of 7.68 inches compared to the CISCO's 6.73 inches. This makes it better for music and general media consumption. However, it lacks the dedicated Webex button and specialized Microsoft Teams or Webex optimization found in the CISCO unit. Choose this if you prioritize audio fidelity and long battery life over specialized office call features.
Jabra Evolve2 65 USB-C Dongle
The Jabra Evolve2 65 USB-C Dongle offers stereo sound, unlike the single-ear CISCO Headset 721. It weighs 6.22 ounces, which is heavier than the CISCO's 4.23 ounces. A key difference is the connection method; this Jabra model uses a USB-C dongle, whereas the CISCO includes a USB-A adapter. This makes the Jabra better for newer laptops lacking USB-A ports. It provides stereo audio for music, while the CISCO focuses on mono call clarity. The Jabra also includes a charging stand, adding convenience for desk use. If you need stereo audio and modern USB-C connectivity, this is a strong alternative. However, you lose the specific Webex integration button present on the CISCO model.
Jabra Evolve2 65 Mono Wireless Headset
The Jabra Evolve2 65 Mono Wireless is a lighter alternative to the CISCO Headset 721. Weighing only 3.5 ounces, it is significantly lighter than the CISCO's 4.23 ounces. Like the CISCO, it uses a mono design suitable for calls. However, it connects via a USB-A dongle, similar to the CISCO's included adapter. This Jabra model is optimized for Microsoft Teams, whereas the CISCO is optimized for Webex. The Jabra lacks the dedicated Webex button, which simplifies the interface for Teams users. If you primarily use Microsoft Teams and want a lighter headset with a charging stand, this is a practical choice. The trade-off is the loss of Webex-specific hardware buttons.
Jabra Evolve 65 SE Mono
The Jabra Evolve 65 SE Mono Wireless Headset is a bulkier option compared to the CISCO Headset 721. It weighs 1.1 pounds, which is substantially heavier than the CISCO's 4.23 ounces. This model features active noise cancelling, a feature not listed for the CISCO unit. It is certified for Microsoft Teams, offering specific optimization for that platform. The CISCO Headset 721 is designed for Webex. The Jabra includes a charging stand and noise-canceling microphone technology. If you work in a noisy office and rely on Microsoft Teams, the active noise cancelling and Teams certification make this a superior choice. The heavier build and lack of Webex integration are the main differences.
Beats Solo 4 Wireless On-Ear Headphones
The Beats Solo 4 Wireless On-Ear Headphones are designed for media rather than specialized office calls. Weighing 1.16 pounds, they are much heavier than the CISCO Headset 721 at 4.23 ounces. They offer 50 hours of battery life, exceeding the CISCO's 23+ hours of talk time. These headphones provide lossless audio options and a balanced output, focusing on music quality. The CISCO model prioritizes call clarity and Webex integration with a dedicated button. The Beats lack specialized office features like a mute boom or platform-specific buttons. If you need a wireless on-ear headset for smartphones and music with long battery life, this is a good fit. You sacrifice specialized call features for superior audio performance.
Beats Solo 4 On-Ear
The Beats Solo 4 On-Ear in Matte Black offers similar features to the Cloud Pink version but with a different color option. It weighs 1.12 ounces, which appears to be a data error as other sources list it heavier, but based on the provided specs, it is the listed weight. It shares the same 50-hour battery life and lossless audio capabilities. Like the other Beats model, it is an on-ear stereo headphone for smartphones and Android devices. It lacks the mono call focus and Webex button of the CISCO Headset 721. The CISCO is lighter and designed for professional calls. Choose this Beats model if you prioritize portable, high-quality audio for personal use over specialized business communication tools. It does not include a USB adapter for direct computer connection.
